PostHeaderIcon White Goose Down Pillows Are The Most Comfortable Ever!

Deciding on the most comfortable white goose down pillow in the world is pretty subjective. Some folks swear by their synthetic fill ones, claiming they are better than down ones because they have more support or are less expensive or they are hypoallergenic.

There is another group of people that would never consider buying anything but a memory foam model for their bed. Foam ones are known to provide a lot of support and can actually shape to the contours of your neck, preventing aches and pains from sleeping in a bad position. This is also a good choice if you are allergic to feathers.

But probably the first choice for most people would be the down version. Laying your head on a down white goose down pillow is like sinking into a cloud. If you are the type that looks forward to the comfort of your bed after a long, busy day, then you owe it to yourself to try out one of these. When properly cared for, down white goose down pillows can last for many years, so it is often a good investment to purchase a high quality white goose down pillow.

The next big question is how much to spend on a down product. You will find choices from $20 to $200. Watch out for the ones that are very inexpensive. They are often filled with mostly regular feathers with a little bit of down included. You should be able to see the percentage of down in the product before you purchase.

Down feathers are the small, silky feathers that make a white goose down pillow soft and fluffy. They do not have quills that can poke through the ticking. More expensive white goose down pillows will often be stuffed with only down feathers. While some people believe that you must spend over a $100 for a quality down product, you could probably find a very comfortable model in the $50 – $60 price range. If you want to spend less than that, look for a good quality down alternative version.

Considering how much time we spend sleeping, it is well worth the time and expense to find a great white goose down pillow that will help us get a good rest at night. Many people will spend a lot of time and effort shopping for a new bed. It is a good idea to take an inventory of your bedding at the same time. Why not upgrade that white goose down pillow and comforter at the same time? You deserve to be sleeping on the most comfortable white goose down pillow in the world.

PostHeaderIcon Do you like the beginning of my novel?

" We’re home." Luke said, dropping a suitcase on the floor. The sound vibrated throughout the small room, bouncing off the walls and the ceiling.
Home. Why did that sound like a horrible lie? I had lived in Carmel for seventeen years, but this wasn’t home to me. It was home to my uncle and his many books, which whenever I came here, would stay up half the night reading.
I half-expected to see my mom come downstairs, or my dad pop out from the kitchen, but the more I waited, the more the empty pit in my stomach grew. Me, of all people should know why I felt that emptiness. It was a stupid assumption that my parents would even come out, smiles on their faces, waiting to greet me. My parents were gone. Forever. There was no reason to smile right now. I blinked back tears as I shouldered the bag I was holding and made my way upstairs and into my room. It looked the same as I had left it two years ago; The walls were bare; white and plain, and the only thing on the bed was a pillow and multi-colored quilt. It was the way I liked it and the way it would stay, for now. I plopped down on my bed, pulling off my shoes and throwing them across the room. I heard Luke rush up the stairs before knocking on the doorway, peering inside.
" Hey, can I come in?" I nodded grimly and quickly wiped the few tears off of my face. Luke wasn’t crying-he hadn’t cried this whole time- but his face was white. Despite having laugh lines, Luke looked young, with green eyes and light, wavy hair. His smile slowly faded into a frown. He was thinking of what to say next. I could tell that this could take awhile.

“Look," he said, finally "I want you to like it here, Kat, but if it’s really awful, if you’re going to be running off…”
“I won’t.” I raked fingers through my hair, anxious to get away from my uncle’s dubious expression.
" Good." Luke smiled for a quick moment before heading out the door.

I’m only ten, so can you please help me edit, fix grammatical mistakes, and just give me feedback? Thanks! :)

PostHeaderIcon What do you think of my new new poem?

I wrote this today on the bus.

(I don’t have a title, ideas would be great!)

A pretty girl,
With a wide grin in place,
Such a radiant smile,
must never leave her face.

She’s the happiest girl,
that you’ve ever seen.
But away from the crowd,
she cries in her sleep.

Every single night,
tears collect on her pillow,
’cause her brother’s abusive
and her mother’s a widow.

She feels like a Wh***,
that’s what her mom calls her,
It’s a shame, really
she never knew her real father.

* Section I’m unsure of *
Nobody knows
that the girl with the smile
wears long sleave to hide the vile
scars and stripes: she represents,
the lives and times
of suicide patients.
*End of Unsureness*

unwanted by her mother,
violated by her brother,
She has nowhere to go,
and her classmates still hover

in school, she’s a goddess,
at home, less than worthless.
Desperate to leave,
she sold her mom’s dress.

"Juvie," she thought
"Must be better than this."
that’s not what she got
but her mom was real p*****.

She covered up the bruises
with Dollar Store makeup,
then she crushed four strong painkillers,
under a glass so the breakup.

then she shoved the white powder,
in a glass full of water,
she drank it all down,
then sat in the shower.

Shaking and sobbing, she drifts into sleep……

She was upset when she woke,
to find she was breathing,
she finally had enough,
*"Mommy, I’m leaving"

Her mom didn’t hear her,
but her bro got the message
he’s a strong fighter,
heII, he’s a legend.

He made her do things,
she never wanted to do,
she’s never in school now…
……………………………….
I haven’t seen her, have you?

Note, *I have no age for her but it’s between ages 9-17, U can change "Mommy, I’m leaving" to "Mother, I’m leaving" or to "Mom, I am leaving" to suit how old YOU think she is.

Please give me some feedback. A rating if you want.

Thank you for reading all the way down here. And thanks again if you comment!
Oh! NO! of course not! No truth!

just the creation of a hour and a half long bus ride. :]

PostHeaderIcon How's my story so far?

This is the very beginning.

__________________________________________________________

Demi slammed the front door and walked down the street in the cold December air. Why does it have to be like this? Why can’t we just get along? I hate mom! I hate her for leaving us. I hate dad for being the helpless lump he is and I hate my sister for hating me…but I also hate myself for being the reason why mom left. She thought. Her mother, Regina, left her family when Demi was only 13 years old. Regina left because she hated the fights and she was not happy. They have never heard from Regina since. Demi stomped down the sidewalk. It was a beautiful night in New York. There was a white blanket of snow across her neighborhood. The leafless trees were covered in snow as well. There were no clouds in the sky so you could see the stars. The moon was full and shined in the night sky. Demi stopped and sighed. “I just wish this would all stop… all of this chaos.” She said to herself. A teardrop ran down her cheek. Then she heard tires screeching across the road. She looked up and saw bright headlights coming her way. She stood there frozen not knowing what to do. Demi ran as fast as she could down the road and slipped. She tried to get up steadily and then it went all black. She opened her eyes and saw a young woman fling out of her car. “Oh my god! Are you okay? I am so sorry!”
Demi lied there broken and swollen until her breathing slowed down until it stopped completely.

What’s happening? Demi asked herself. She looked down and saw a woman cradling a young girl’s body. “Hey, what’s going on?” Demi said to the woman. “HEY!” she screamed. Nothing worked. She got a close look at the young girl. It was herself. Demi gasped and looked at her lifeless body. Fresh bruises decorated her arms. She had a cut across her cheek and neck. On her stomach was a scrape bleeding through her shirt. The woman holding her was crying and saying she was sorry repeatedly. The woman stood up and carried Demi’s body to her car. She placed her in the backseat and drove to the hospital. Demi’s head hurt. She was so confused. If she was dead, then how was she still here? They got to the hospital and Demi fallowed her body. Nurses and doctors poured in the room trying to revive her. Then a blast of energy went through Demi as she shot back into her body.

Demi opened her eyes then closed them again. Her whole body hurt.
“D-D-Demi?” she heard her sister’s voice. She opened her eyes. “Yeah?” she croaked. “I knew you weren’t dead.” Her sister said “. The doctor said you had 2 broken ribs, a broken leg an-“ Demi cut her off and said, “Since when were you worried?” she asked in a harsh tone. Her sister looked at Demi coldly. “Why are you even here? You don’t care about me and you know it.” Trinity glared at her. “Yeah I do hate you.” Trinity said “But that doesn’t mean I want you to die, just because you made mom leave us and practically broke our family apart doesn’t mean that I want you to die.” That made Demi mad. She hated that her sister always brought that up. “Trinity! Stop! I am sick of you nagging on me about mom. I know that it’s my fault! Just shut up! I hate you! You can quit acting now. I know you wish I was dead, and trust me, I want to be dead too. I am sick of being the one to blame in our family and everywhere else.” Demi threw her head back on the pillow and yelped. Her sister winced. “It is not fun being broken, Trinity. I really wish I would’ve died.”
“So do I…” Trinity murmured. “Well good, then you can pull that plug right there, and this will all be over.” Demi pointed a weak finger to the little box that helped her breathe by giving her air. Trinity eyed the plug. “Please Trinity! Just do one this one thing, then we never have to fight ever again and you and dad can live your happy lives without me.”
Trinity smirked and shook her head. “No way am I going to pull that thing. I’ll be in big trouble. Kill yourself some other time.” Demi huffed and sat herself up. “If that’s the way it has to be.” She pulled her leg out of the sling. She felt so broken and shattered. She just wanted all of this to end. “Demi? What are you doing? I was just kidding when I said…”
“No you don’t Trinity. Quit lying.” Right as Demi tried to stand up a nurse walked in the room. “Oh Demi, please don’t get up. You are in a very bad condition still and we don’t want you hurt again now do we?” Demi sighed and the nurse helped her back down. The nurse gave Demi a big smile. “I am going to get you some sleepy medicine,” she looked at Trinity, “Honey, your sister needs to sleep now, why don’t you give her some rest until she wakes up again.” The nurse left the room and Trinity fallowed glaring at Demi once more before she left the room. The nurse came back and poked a needle in Demi’s arm without warning. Then Demi slipped out of consciousness.

Trinity walked back to the waiting room. “Why are we even here dad?” she asked her father, Ron. Ro
“Why are we even here dad?” she asked her father, Ron. Ron looked up from his crossword puzzle, “Because it’s the right thing to do, that’s what your mother would say.” Trinity groaned and plopped onto the couch right next to him. “Screw mom, she never cared about us, and Demi doesn’t care about us. She’s selfish and stupid.” Trinity kicked and the carpet beneath her feet. She hated hospitals, she hated the oh-so-cheery nurses in their tropical-themed scrubs and she especially hated being here because of Demi. “We will leave when I finish this crossword puzzle.” Trinity nodded and walked back to Demi’s room. She looked at Demi through the window. She lied on the bed, her dark hair sprawled out from beneath her. There were tubes stuck in her left arm and the television turned on to some old movie. Trinity snuck into the room and ran over to the machine that helped Demi breathe. Trinity shakily reached over and grabbed a tube. There were a whole bunch of them, clear ones, blue ones, yell
, yellow ones, and what was up with all these symbols on the machine? “How do doctors remember all this stuff?” Trinity said aloud. Then she noticed the wire that Demi pointed to earlier. She remembered Demi’s words clearly, “If you pull that plug right there this will all be over.” Then Trinity quickly jerked the plug out and waited a few seconds until the little green line on the screen went straight and started to beep. She plugged it back in the box and ran out of the room without looking back at Demi

PostHeaderIcon Upholstering a couch myself-creative question?

My husband and I bought a couch at a thrift store yesterday. We might have overlooked it, as it had a big, ugly cover on it, but I saw a leg under the cover and pulled it up. Lo and behold, it’s one of those beautiful chrome frame, pure white, ultra modern couches (what we’ve wanted for years, but could never afford because they are so expensive). Not a stain, scratch or imperfection on it. The strange thing is, while the body of the couch is clearly upholstered in a nice, heavy white fabric, the 2 seat cushions and 4 back pillows aren’t upholstered. They just have a thin cotton fabric with poorly finished edges (imagine the pillows you buy at the craft store to cover). Needless to say, I will be covering them. Here’s my question-

A while back, I bought a beautiful cotton quilting fabric (if you can imagine looking down into a pool in summer, that is what this fabric looks like, bright blue, moving water) with no plan of what to do with it. The cushions I will make zippered covers for in a matching fabric to the upholstery on the body of the couch (so the covers are removable for washing, but permenant to the couch). The 4 pillows, I want to use the blue fabric on, since it’s just a matter of covering a pillow, and woulnt be difficult to re-do if we ever tire of them. But I’m having difficulty deciding what to do- make a solid blue cover for the pillows, or "frame" the blue fabric in a nice, white cotton (so the body of the pillows is mostly white like the couch, but each has a square of the blue blue "framed" on the front). What do you think?
The quilting fabric would only be used on the back pillows, as they are easy to recover whether they wear out or we plain get tired of them. The seat cushions (which get the most wear) I will be making covers for in a durable white upholstery fabric. It’s just me and my husband, and we aren’t hard on things, so I doubt some, essentially decorative throw pillows, will wear out in any short period of time (if we had kids, held rowdy parties, had furry pets or anything like that, I never would have gotten a white couch in the first place). Our living room arm chair, and sitting chair in our bedroom were both used. After I upholstered them in a white fabric, I upholstered over that with bright cotton prints. We’ve had those chairs for 2 and 3 years, the whole chairs are covered in lighter weight quilting fabric than the blue I have right now, they get used frequently, and the fabric is still not wearing out.

PostHeaderIcon Need Help. Do you think I am pregnant?

Well I’ve been following my menstrual and ovualation from monthlycycles.com and yet have they failed me. So my last period was on October 18th and prior to that Sept 21st and prior to that Aug 25th. They come every 28 days like clock work. So my period according to monthly cycles says that I am suppose to get it Nov 14th now it’s Nov 19th. Btw I am trying to conceive and had sex on all ovulation days and placed a pillow to lift my hips on all occasions which I haven’t done in the prior months. Anywho my period has not come yet. Since the 14th I’ve been cramping like my period is going to come and have been eating like crazy for the past week or more and just now noticed. I also have vaginal discharge that is creamy and white and A LOT of it. It feels like a puddle down there all day not to be nasty. I am afraid to take a pt b/c I was pregnant in March and miscarried so I don’t want to be disappointed if test neg. Also, I had similar craming when I was prego’s in March and was pregnant
Also, during sex I am always dry I mean always and during sex it’s like a rainforest and my boyfriend noticed too.

So do you think I am pregnant?
What’s up with all this creamy white/ non egg white lookingg discharge?

And any other suggestions and advice you would like to give..Thanks
Also, I’ve been stressed at my job for the past 6 months and I know that could be a factor to but my logic is wouldn’t my period been late back 6months until now. Well last 2 months I been less stressed.

Also my period in the past has fallen on the same day the 18th but my 3 months with monthly cycles they said aug 25th m, sept 21, oct 18 which all are 28 days apart and close in date but I did get my period on the exact day I was kind of leary because it predicted the 14th which is 28 days later but its not close in previous dates. Should I go by the 28 days that monthlycycle perdicts that has been head on or should I go by the 18 which was my previous period date?

Thanks for eveyones feedback thus far

PostHeaderIcon do you believe my house is haunted?

for the past few weeks, if not months, me and my sister have been having a few experiences with something we can not explain, for example:
my sister woke up to a whisper in her ear screaming "dinner", and it was in the ear in which was laying on the pillow, than she started hearing noises downstairs and called my dad in which he found nothing, than she saw a flashing light outside her room, near the addic which soon vanished.

than one night, for nearly an hour (on a school night were i got no sleep, maybe an hour) i started hearing noices downstairs, which sounded like those cat toys, that are balls that have a jingly thing inside, so i heard that for an hour.

so do you think my house is haunted, and also, my sister has been dreaming of our old house which was haunted, since we had upside down lamps in pictures, something taking laundry out of dryer, seeing white hand and more.
and in one of her dreams, she was at our old house, and saw an african american boy, and white girl, that said they were the one’s who haunted our old house.
so did the ghosts follow us?
do we have anything to worry about, or are they just messing around jokingly?
